Hot dog with sauerkraut and bacon
This hot dog with sauerkraut and bacon immediately cures those hunger pangs. Delicious during the winter, although this hot dog also cheers up a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Ingredients
- 4 petits pains
- 3.5 oz ERU Spreadable Gouda Extra Aged
- 4 fresh bratwurst sausages
- 1.7 oz butter
- 8 long slices of smoked bacon
- 5.3 oz sauerkraut
Preparation| 5 min
- Bake the petits pains according to the instructions found on the packaging.
- Stir 1 teaspoon of water through ERU Spreadable Gouda Extra Aged to loosen the cheese.
Prepare| 20 min
- Fry the sausage in the butter, remove from the pan after 10 minutes.
- Wrap 2 slices of bacon around each sausage and return to the pan.
- Simmer gently for another 10 minutes until the sausages are cooked.
- Heat the sauerkraut in a small pan. Drain well.
- Slice open the top of the petits pains.
- Fill each with sauerkraut.
- Top with a sausage and press down firmly.
- Spoon a few teaspoons of the ERU Spreadable Gouda Extra Aged onto each petit pain.
